The MacLean Family has ties to the Northern Nevada area that date back to the 1860’s. Over the course of this time, the MacLean’s have become deeply rooted in the community, engaging in numerous philanthropic endeavors. In line with this tradition, the MacLean Family is hosting this event out of a passion for the skill and elegance of the sport and a desire to support the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization.

Located on the MacLean’s beautiful equestrian facility just south of Reno, Nevada, and presenting first class hospitality, this event will offer unique entertainment for every family member. Attendees of the Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby will be able to enjoy many of the classic antique and exotic cars that will be on display throughout the derby grounds, stroll through the promenade of shops, and observe some of the best horses and riders competing in the nation today.

Franktown Meadows is a state-of-the-art equestrian facility that has been family owned and operated for three generations. It is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in historic Washoe Valley, conveniently between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. This 41-acre facility offers a variety of services for the horse and rider, with boarding and professional instruction in the following disciplines: hunter/jumper/equitation, dressage, and english/western pleasure.
